Design Basics

Resolution

  • Always 300 DPI minimum
  • Higher = sharper
  • Low res = blurry

Colors

  • Use RGB mode
  • Bright colors work best
  • White prints opaque

Size

  • Design at actual print size
  • Common: 10-12" wide for chest

What Works Great

  • Bold graphics
  • Text and typography
  • Logos

  • Gradients

Avoid

  • Extremely thin lines (under 1pt)
  • Tiny text (under 10pt)
